Terms of Service

Effective October 5, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and M0 Media LLC, which operates FilePermits ("FilePermits", "we", "us"), and apply when you use the FilePermits Chrome extension, the FilePermits service and this website. If you use FilePermits for a company, you agree to these terms on behalf of that company, and "you" includes the company. By using FilePermits you accept these terms.

1. Your account

2. Subscriptions and billing

3. What FilePermits does, and what you do

FilePermits fills form fields on permit-portal pages in your browser, using your company profile and job details. It is a tool to save you typing. It does not act for you.

4. No guarantee of permits, timing or portals

We do not guarantee that any permit will be approved or issued, that any application will be accepted, or how long any city or agency will take. We do not control city permit portals. They may change, go offline or stop working with FilePermits at any time, and we do not guarantee that FilePermits will work with any particular portal or page.

5. AI features

FilePermits uses AI from a third-party provider to read job details into job fields and to propose how new form pages should be filled. AI can make mistakes: it can misread a job, put a value in the wrong field or miss a field. Always review the job details, the proposed mapping and every filled field before you submit.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to:

7. Your data

You own the information you put into FilePermits, such as your company profile and job details. You give us permission to process it only as needed to provide and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

When you save a page mapping, it is stored as a template for your company account. Templates contain form structure only, never values. If two or more companies save the identical mapping for the same page, you agree that we may offer it as a public template to other FilePermits users, without any link to your company.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

8. Third-party services

FilePermits works alongside services run by others, including city permit portals, Google Chrome and Stripe. Their terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Changes to the service

We work to keep FilePermits available and useful, but we may change, add or remove features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If we stop offering FilePermits entirely, we will give account owners reasonable notice by email.

10. Disclaimers

FilePermits is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that FilePermits will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that filled values will be correct.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, FilePermits will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, including losses from rejected, delayed or incorrect permit applications or from fees paid to any city or agency.

Our total liability for all claims relating to FilePermits is limited to the amount you paid us for FilePermits in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify FilePermits against claims by third parties arising from applications you submit, information you enter, or your breach of these terms or of any portal's terms.

13. Termination

You can stop using FilePermits and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if payment fails, or if we need to in order to protect the service, other users or the portals FilePermits works with. When your account ends, you lose access to the service; we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as disclaimers and limitation of liability, will survive.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is material, we will email account owners before it takes effect. If you keep using FilePermits after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or FilePermits will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
